Even though she’s on the Mrs. Carter World Tour, Beyoncé has always been her own “independent woman’’. The megastar brings her spectacular live show to the United Center July 17. Hopefully, her excellent all-female band will play all Beyoncé’s greatest hits, from her days with Destiny’s Child to her latest hit, “Grown Woman’’. She must like Chicago a lot, because Queen Bey will also return in December.

The United Center is the perfect place for Beyoncé to perform. The arena isn’t just the home of the Stanley Cup-winning Blackhawks and the future championship-winning Bulls. ( Come on, Derrick Rose!) The largest arena in the country hosts the biggest concerts by the premier musicians (like Beyoncé’s husband Jay –Z) and artists in the heart of the West Loop. No matter where someone sits, there is a good view to see Beyoncé throughout the show and the sound is great, too. The service is also top-notch and makes the cavernous arena smaller and more intimate.
The United Center hosts everything from Cirque du Soleil performances to private events. The United Center has great amenities for visitors and diners. There are so many restaurants in the venue. Diners can have Sweet Baby Ray’s baby back ribs or Madhouse on Madison Grill’s Madhouse Burgers. Visitors that want healthier options can have gluten-free food from some of the available food carts.

The venue also hosts private events in the Ketel One or the BMO Harris Club for premium members with catering from Levy Restaurants. If concertgoers are looking for food around the area, they can go to the legendary Billy Goat Tavern or any number of restaurants in the West Loop area. Concertgoers who are lucky enough to see Beyoncé live will be in for a great time at the United Center.
